Place+ grew from that challenge.
Developed through Prior + Partners’ work across complex planning, masterplanning, regeneration and development projects, it brings together digital innovation, spatial analysis and the wider expertise of our practice to support a more connected and iterative approach to placemaking.
Our digital capability has developed through working with clients on increasingly complex questions: where growth could take place, how different constraints and opportunities interact, how development scenarios might perform, and how proposals can be communicated more effectively.
Place+ brings these approaches together in a digital environment, allowing teams to work with more evidence, test more possibilities and understand the implications of different choices.
The platform continues to evolve alongside our work. Its tools can be configured around different places, projects and workflows, drawing on national, local, client and project-specific data and extending into bespoke digital applications where required.
Place+ has grown from our work at Prior + Partners and our investment in digital innovation. Our teams bring together data scientists, planners, masterplanners, urban designers, economists and graphic designers, combining these disciplines to understand and shape complex places.
This multidisciplinary expertise is fundamental to how we develop and apply digital tools. Place+ is grounded in the realities of how places are understood, planned and shaped, combining technology with the knowledge and judgement required to make sense of complex places and decisions.
The platform is designed to support the work we already do, creating new ways to explore evidence, test ideas and communicate proposals, rather than treating technology as separate from the placemaking process.
